The site, for CAMC members only, is just 4 miles from Chester city centre; a mecca for shopping, entertainment & nightlife. There is a well surfaced foot/cycle path along the Shropshire Union canal into the city centre. There are good connections for Liverpool (approx. 20 miles) and North Wales.

In the village there is a shop, sandwich bar, takeaway and pubs. Nearby attractions include Chester Zoo, The Crocky Trail, The Ice-Cream Farm, Cheshire Oaks Outlet Village and lots more. There is excellent walking and cycling locally.
