Welcome to The West Kirby Tap, an award-winning real ale house in the heart of West Kirby. We’re passionate about great beer, but we’re much more than just a pub. Whether you’re stopping by after a walk along the beach, catching up with friends, or looking for somewhere cosy to spend the evening, The West Kirby Tap offers a warm, relaxed atmosphere for everyone.

We’re proudly dog friendly and the perfect place to settle in with a hot drink or a pint beside our roaring log fire. Our kitchen is open seven days a week, serving freshly made stone-baked pizzas alongside a selection of small plates and snacks, all designed to pair perfectly with the award-winning beers from our parent brewery, Spitting Feathers Brewery.

Having recently been voted CAMRA Wirral Pub and continually in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide, The West Kirby Tap continues to build a reputation for exceptional beer and a constantly evolving drinks selection designed to satisfy even the most discerning drinker.

Behind the bar you’ll find 8 hand pulls (7 cask ales and 1 cider), 10 keg lines, 2 continental lagers, and a carefully chosen range of canned and bottled craft beers. From crisp session pales to rich stouts and porters, there’s always something different to discover.

Alongside a rotating range of local favourites, we proudly serve beers from our own brewery, Spitting Feathers, including gluten-free and vegan-friendly options such as our lager and pale ale. Supporting independent local brewers is at the heart of what we do, and we make a point of sourcing beer from as close to home as possible. Thankfully, we’re surrounded by some of the country’s best breweries right here in the North West.
