Chester Station Tap Room

Independent beer, fresh food and private events inside Chester Railway Station

Historic Station. Independent Beer.

A Proper Chester Welcome.

Looking for a pub at Chester Station?

Chester Station Tap Room serves locally roasted coffee from early morning, freshly prepared food throughout the day and a changing selection of cask ales, craft beer, wines and spirits. Set within the beautifully restored west wing of Chester Railway Station, the Station Tap combines independent hospitality with one of the city’s most remarkable historic settings.

The station opened in 1848 and was constructed by celebrated railway builder Thomas Brassey. After years of neglect, the west wing was brought back to life by Spitting Feathers Brewery with the support of 460 Crowdfunder backers.

Meet The Team

Ian – General Manager

Hey I’m Ian! I like heavy music and even heavier ABV beers. I’ve always had a passion for craft beer and previously worked at some of the greatest places Chester has to offer.

My love of craft beer and real ale stemmed from my Dad who’s always been an avid homebrewer(/drinker!) so I strive to find the best products that suit everyone’s needs for the Taproom!

Dom – Assistant Manager

Hello I’m Dom. I have a genuine passion for all things beer and brewing. I particularly love cask ales, with red ales being a personal favourite, especially as the colder months roll in — winter is definitely the best time of year for beer (and whisky)!

I’m a big fan of pop-punk. And no, it definitely wasn’t just a phase! At this point, I’ve invested far too much time, money and questionable fashion choices for it to be.
