_- Beer Festival - Spitting Feathers Charity Beer Festival We hold our beer festival every year on the 3rd Saturday in July and its ace (if you’ve been to a better beer festival please let us know, we’ll go to it!). We have a great venue, we try hard to get the best bands and entertainers and have fantastic volunteer staff. We have over 30 selected beers and ciders, local and from further afield, all served temperature controlled and by hand-pump. All that beer needs soaking up! We hog roast 4 nice big pigs raised on brewery grains here at the farm and serve them in bread rolls from Wallis the Bakers (fantastic bakery and sandwich shop in Saltney, try them if you’re passing). We also serve pulled pork bap's, veggie burgers and the best beef burgers from Dave Joinson in Chester Market and his new shop in Boughton. Our festival raises money for local good causes, so far over £25,000 has been donated. Charities have included the Hospice of the Good Shepherd, The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity, St Catherine’s Hospice (Nantwich), Nightingale House Hospice (Wrexham), MacMillan Nurses, The British Heart Foundation, Myeloma UK, Countess of Chester Babygrow Appeal, Anya Bentham Appeal & many others. Beer Festival FAQS I don’t like beer, are there other drinks provided? We provide soft drinks free of charge, but other than that beer and cider are only drinks available. We have a good range of beers and usually find there’s a beer for everyone! The ticket price alone does not cover the costs of putting on the beer festival, we rely on the beer and cider sales to keep the beer festival going and raise funds for local good causes. For this reason we cannot allow people to bring their own drinks. Is there disabled access? The beer festival is held outdoors in the yard of the farm, the ground is predominantly cobbled and uneven. We have one level access toilet with a 700mm/28” wide doorway. Can I bring children? Children are welcome to the afternoon session and do not need a ticket. They are welcome to look around the farm and gardens but must be supervised at all times. Be aware this is a working farm. Can I bring my dog? Well behaved dogs are allowed. Be aware this is a farm and there is livestock, horses and other dogs. There is loud music and it goes dark during the evening session. Can I leave my car? We have limited parking at the farm and brewery. You won’t be driving home so try not to bring your car, better for everyone that way.
